The Foam Cleanser
Prep with Warm Water
Start by washing your hands (you don't want to transfer bacteria to your face!). Splash your face with lukewarm water. This helps to dampen the skin and makes it easier for the foam to glide and lift oils.
Lather the cleanser
Dispense one to two pumps of foam into your palm. If your cleanser comes as a liquid that foams up, rub your hands together briefly to create a rich, airy lather. This ensures the surfactants are properly activated before they touch your skin.
Apply and massage
Apply the foam to your face using circular motions. Focus on the T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin) where oil usually builds up. Use light pressure; let the bubbles do the heavy lifting rather than scrubbing hard.
Rinse and Pat Dry
Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water until your skin feels clean and "slick-free." Instead of rubbing your face with a towel, gently pat it dry to avoid irritation. Follow up immediately with your toner or moisturizer while your skin is still slightly damp.
